Luna Luna Chicago Concert reviews
Good show!
I thought Luna Luna was really good, pleasantly surprised about seeing a band 30 years after their last decent album. The band really sounded great with great energy that fed into the crowd. Some might not have liked the song selection, non hits like "Line of Fire", "La Do Da", "Dead or Alive", and "Escape" could have been replaced. Escape is one of my all time favorites. I would have preferred another song or two from "Raised on Radio", with "Be Good to Yourself" being the only song played from this album. The band definitely felt like Neal Shon's baby now, so that is probably why the song selection went as it did. Two negatives that did affect the show for me though, Neal took too many guitar solos, really lost me after the last one - I think there were 3 total, if you count a Star Spangled Banner that he took major liberties with. Ending the concert with "Lovin, Touchin, Squeezin" instead of "Don't Stop Believing" was the other issue. I love both songs, but the crowd seemed to think the concert was over once they played "Don't Stop Believing."
